- Conduct Neurodiagnostic Tests: Perform a variety of diagnostic tests, including EEGs, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric neurological conditions.
- Prepare Patients: Prepare patients for neurodiagnostic procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort and safety, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Monitor Patients: Monitor patients during neurodiagnostic procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results, and to address any issues or complications that may arise.
- Record and Analyze Data: Accurately record and analyze data from neurodiagnostic procedures, and prepare detailed reports for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain Equipment: Ensure all neurodiagnostic equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and their families on the purpose and results of neurodiagnostic tests, and provide them with information on how to care for their child's condition.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for pediatric patients with neurological conditions.
- Follow Protocols and Procedures: Adhere to all hospital protocols and procedures related to neurodiagnostic testing, including safety protocols, patient privacy regulations, and infection control guidelines.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Neurodiagnostic Assistant Position At Cincinnati Children's Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Competency In Reading, Writing, And Math.
Certification In Neurodiagnostic Technology: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Certification In Neurodiagnostic Technology From An Accredited Program. This Ensures That They Have Received Proper Training And Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Neurodiagnostic Procedures.
