Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cincinnati Children's in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The NICU Nurse Practitioner will be a key member of our team, responsible for providing comprehensive care to neonatal patients.The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Nursing and a current license in the state of Ohio as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, they must have current Certification by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC), and prefer at least 1 year of experience in a neonatal setting.If you’re an individual who is passionate about helping others, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to join a team of experts in a dynamic environment, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive care to neonatal patients in a NICU setting.
  2. Develop patient care plans and monitor the progress of neonatal patients.
  3. Educate families on neonatal care and support.
  4. Discharge planning and follow up care.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  6. Maintain current licensure and NCC certification.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Respond to patient inquiries and provide support.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  10. Stay up-to-date with latest advancements in neonatal care.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Nursing

  • Current Certifications In Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp)

  • Active Ohio Registered Nurse License

  • National Certification As An Advanced Practice Nurse In Neonatal Care

  • Two Years Of Experience In A Level Or Nicu

  • Demonstrated Knowledge Of Clinical Research And Evidence-Based Practice
