Job Description

Cincinnati Children's is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Medical Grant Writer. The Medical Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, developing, and writing grant proposals for external funding that advances our mission of providing the best care to every child. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for helping children and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to apply for this role.Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Healthcare, or related field • 3+ years of experience in grant writing • Knowledge of the grants process and ability to apply best practices to grant writing • Ability to distill complex medical information into clear, concise language • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  1. Research and identify external funding opportunities that align with Cincinnati Children's mission of providing the best care to every child.
  2. Develop grant proposals that meet the requirements of the funding sources.
  3. Write grant proposals in a clear and concise manner, distilling complex medical information into understandable language.
  4. Review and edit grant proposals for accuracy, clarity, and grammar.
  5. Submit grant proposals to funding sources in a timely manner.
  6. Monitor progress of grant proposals and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  7. Maintain records of grant proposals and ensure data accuracy.
  8. Participate in meetings and discussions related to grant writing and research.
  9. Stay informed of current trends and best practices in grant writing and grant funding.
