  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families with a warm and friendly attitude, making them feel comfortable and cared for during their visit to Cincinnati Children's.
  2. Assist physicians and nurses in providing exceptional patient care by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and documenting patient information accurately.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering supplies, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  4. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of care.
  5. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to protect patients, families, and staff from potential harm.
  6. Complete all required training and stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures to ensure high-quality and evidence-based care for patients.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their visit, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  8. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring continuity and coordination of care.
  9. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and providing appropriate resources and education.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information and records.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  12. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Cincinnati Children's in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credential From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Orthopedic Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Practice.

  • Knowledge Of Orthopedic Procedures And Terminology, Including Casting, Splinting, And Traction.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems, Specifically Epic.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
