1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by warmly welcoming them to the clinic and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
2. Assist healthcare providers with patient care by accurately taking and recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
3. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers, following all safety protocols and accurately documenting in patient records.
4. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for transport, following all infection control and safety procedures.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in exam rooms and other clinic areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure smooth coordination of care and timely resolution of any issues or concerns.
7. Accurately input and update patient information in electronic medical records, including but not limited to demographics, medical history, and insurance information.
8. Assist with scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, and verifying insurance coverage to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
9. Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge in pediatric healthcare.
10. Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and protect their rights.
11. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients and families.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by clinic leadership to contribute to the overall success of the clinic and organization.
