- Provide expert medical care: The Human Genetics Physician will use their knowledge and expertise in human genetics to diagnose and treat a wide range of genetic disorders in children. Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution: A Human Genetics Physician At Cincinnati Children's Must Have A Medical Degree To Practice Medicine And Provide Specialized Care To Patients.
Board Certification In Medical Genetics And/Or Pediatrics: This Qualification Ensures That The Physician Has Completed Rigorous Training And Passed Exams In The Field Of Medical Genetics And/Or Pediatrics, Demonstrating Their Expertise And Specialized Knowledge In These Areas.
Residency And Fellowship Training In Medical Genetics: In Addition To Medical School, A Human Genetics Physician At Cincinnati Children's Must Have Completed A Residency And Fellowship Program Specifically In The Field Of Medical Genetics. This Extensive Training Provides Them With The Necessary Skills And Experience To Diagnose And Treat Complex Genetic Conditions.
Licensure And State Certification: All Physicians Practicing At Cincinnati Children's Must Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of Ohio, And May Also Need To Obtain Additional State Certifications For Their Specific Specialty.
Experience In Genetic Counseling And Patient Education: In Addition To Medical Expertise, A Human Genetics Physician At Cincinnati Children's Should Have Experience In Genetic Counseling And Patient Education.
