We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to lead our efforts in promoting a culture of belonging and understanding.   1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Cincinnati Children's.
  2. Collaborate with leadership, HR, and other departments to integrate DEI principles into all aspects of the organization's policies, practices, and culture.
  3. Lead and manage a team of DEI professionals to support the implementation of initiatives and programs.
  4. Conduct ongoing assessments of the organization's diversity and inclusion efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Develop and deliver training programs on DEI topics for staff at all levels of the organization.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for staff and leadership on diversity, equity, and inclusion matters.
  7. Foster relationships with community organizations and partners to enhance diversity and inclusion efforts.
  8. Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in DEI and healthcare to continuously improve and evolve the organization's DEI efforts.
  9. Act as a liaison and advocate for underrepresented groups within the organization, including patients, families, and staff.
  10. Develop metrics and track progress towards diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and objectives.
  11. Communicate and report on DEI initiatives and progress to leadership and other stakeholders.
  12. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  13. Cultivate a culture of inclusivity and belonging through communication, events, and other initiatives.
  14. Serve as a role model and champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  15. Uphold the organization's commitment to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all.

This Includes Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, As Well As Experience Implementing Dei Initiatives In A Professional Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Director Of Dei, This Role Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Professionals Dedicated To Promoting Diversity And Inclusion At Cincinnati Children's. The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Inspire And Motivate Others, Drive Change, And Foster A Culture Of Inclusion.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Director Of Dei Will Need To Work Closely With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The Organization, As Well As External Partners And Community Organizations. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships, Promoting Buy-In, And Driving Progress Toward Dei Goals.

  • Experience In Strategic Planning And Program Implementation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans To Promote Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Within An Organization. This Includes Setting Measurable Goals, Tracking Progress, And Making Data-Driven Decisions To Drive Change And Achieve Desired Outcomes.

  • Commitment To Diversity And Inclusion: Finally, The Director Of Dei Should Have A Strong Personal Commitment To Diversity And Inclusion. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of The Importance Of Promoting Diversity And Equity In The Workplace And A Passion For Creating An Inclusive And Welcoming Environment For All Employees.
