- Perform dialysis treatments on patients with kidney disease according to established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and assess patient response to dialysis treatment, including vital signs, intake and output, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, progress, and any interventions.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and advancements in dialysis technology and practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members to provide education and support regarding dialysis treatment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with dialysis equipment.
- Assist with patient transportation and positioning during dialysis treatments.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Completion Of An Accredited Dialysis Technician Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Recognized Dialysis Technician Training Program And Hold A Certificate Or Degree In The Field.
Certification As A Dialysis Technician (Ccht): Candidates Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Dialysis Technician, Certified By The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (Nncc).
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Dialysis Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Dialysis Unit, Providing Direct Patient Care.
Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Dialysis Equipment, Procedures, And Treatment Protocols.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Candidates Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Team Members.
