
Clinical Perfusionist

- Perform perfusion procedures and techniques with accuracy and precision.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate blood flow and oxygenation levels during surgeries.
- Operate and troubleshoot perfusion equipment and machinery.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in perfusion techniques and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during procedures.
- Assist with training and mentoring new perfusion staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process improvement.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
- Maintain professional certifications and licenses.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Ensure accurate billing and coding of perfusion services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Continuously evaluate and improve perfusion techniques and processes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to pediatric care and the mission of the hospital.
Bachelor's Degree In A Health-Related Field Such As Biology, Physiology, Or Nursing.
Completion Of An Accredited Perfusion Program, With Certification From The American Board Of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Abcp).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Perfusionist In A Clinical Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Cardiac And Respiratory Physiology, As Well As The Operation And Maintenance Of Perfusion Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment.
