
Child Life Specialist - Neurology

You should be an excellent communicator, with strong cultural competency and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of professionals. You should have a strong understanding of child development, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress situations. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic and educational programs designed to meet the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
- Provide direct patient and family support through play, preparation for procedures, and therapeutic activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary team members and other community partners to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Schedule, lead, and document patient and family meetings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient and family education programs.
- Provide crisis intervention and bereavement services.
- Monitor patient progress and document interventions and outcomes.
- Advocates for the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
- Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to inform patient care decisions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
