Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic and educational programs designed to meet the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
2. Provide direct patient and family support through play, preparation for procedures, and therapeutic activities.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary team members and other community partners to coordinate comprehensive care.
4. Schedule, lead, and document patient and family meetings.
5. Develop, implement, and evaluate patient and family education programs.
6. Provide crisis intervention and bereavement services.
7. Monitor patient progress and document interventions and outcomes.
8. Advocates for the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
9. Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
10. Utilize evidence-based practices to inform patient care decisions.
