We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Assistant Professor to join our Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center.   1. Conduct research and develop innovative gene and cell therapy treatments for cancer and blood diseases.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and execute research studies.
  3. Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and potential therapies.
  4. Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences.
  5. Secure funding for research through grant writing and fundraising efforts.
  6. Train and mentor junior researchers and graduate students in the field of gene and cell therapy.
  7. Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines for research and clinical trials.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and collaborators.
  9. Participate in the development of new therapies and protocols for clinical trials.
  10. Contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center at Cincinnati Children's.
  11. Keep up-to-date with advancements and breakthroughs in the field of gene and cell therapy.
  12. Participate in departmental and institutional committees and meetings.
  13. Represent the institute and present research at national and international conferences.
  14. Engage with patients and families to educate them about gene and cell therapy and potential treatment options.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve research methods and techniques.
  16. Maintain accurate and organized records of research data.
  17. Collaborate with industry partners to bring potential therapies to market.
  18. Adhere to ethical standards and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  19. Act as a resource and expert in gene and cell therapy for colleagues and students.
  20. Contribute to the growth and success of the Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center through active participation and leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Phd Or Md/Phd Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Molecular Biology, Genetics, Or Immunology.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In The Areas Of Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy, And/Or Gene Editing Techniques.

  • Prior Experience In Independent Research And Securing Grant Funding From External Sources.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Track Record Of Successful Collaborations.

  • Strong Publication Record In Peer-Reviewed Journals Related To Cancer And Blood Diseases Research.
