Job Description

At Cincinnati Children's, we are looking for a Behavioral Health Specialist to bring a positive, caring attitude and a passion for helping children in need to our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, as well as experience working with children and families in a clinical setting. They should possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. If you have a natural enthusiasm for helping kids and believe in the power of evidence-based treatments, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children and families in a clinical setting.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
  4. Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  5. Facilitate group therapy sessions.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  7. Educate clients and families on mental health issues and available resources.
  8. Remain up-to-date on advances in the field and best practices.
  9. Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  10. Maintain client confidentiality.
