- Manage and report on Cigna's investment portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Conduct detailed analysis of investment transactions and portfolio performance to support decision making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for various stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors.
- Monitor and reconcile investment accounts, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations related to investments, and ensure compliance in all processes and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment managers, to gather and analyze data for financial reporting and forecasting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of investment accounting and reporting.
- Participate in the annual audit process, providing support and documentation as needed.
- Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in investment accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests related to investment accounting and reporting, as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Investment Accounting, Preferably With A Focus On Securities.
Strong Knowledge Of Gaap And Sec Regulations Related To Investment Accounting.
Experience With Investment Accounting Software, Such As Bloomberg Aim Or Blackrock Aladdin.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Accounting Issues Related To Securities Investments.
