Active Rn License: A Candidate For This Position Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Qualified And Authorized To Provide Medical Care To Patients In A Home Infusion Setting.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Nursing Experience: Cigna Requires Candidates To Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Home Health Or Infusion Setting. This Experience Ensures That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Specialized Equipment And Procedures Involved In Administering Medications Via Intravenous Or Other Routes In A Home Setting.
Certification In Infusion Therapy: A Candidate For This Position Must Hold A Current Certification In Infusion Therapy, Such As The Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (Crni) Certification. This Certification Demonstrates The Nurse's Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Infusion Therapy And Ensures That They Are Able To Provide Safe And Effective Care To Patients.
Strong Communication And Documentation Skills: As A Home Infusion Nurse, The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. They Must Also Have Excellent Documentation Skills To Accurately Record Patient Information And Medication Administration.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team: Home Infusion Nurses Often Work Autonomously, Visiting Patients In Their Homes And Administering Medications Without Direct Supervision. However, They Must Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals, Such As Pharmacists And Physicians, To Ensure The Best Possible Outcomes For Their Patients.
