Cigna is seeking a highly qualified Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee our Specialty Program. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of pharmacists and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of specialty medications to our members. We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and has a strong background in pharmacy operations.   1. Manage a team of pharmacists and ensure their adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  2. Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of specialty medications to members.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and overall program efficiency.
  4. Monitor and track program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any operational or clinical issues.
  6. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to specialty pharmacy services.
  7. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for pharmacists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  8. Act as a liaison between the pharmacy team and other departments within the organization.
  9. Evaluate and update pharmacy protocols and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.
  10. Maintain accurate records and reports related to program performance, inventory, and budget.
  11. Stay updated on industry developments, new medications, and treatment options to make informed decisions.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  13. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  14. Handle escalated member or provider inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Represent the company in professional organizations and events to promote the specialty pharmacy program.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field, With A Current And Active Pharmacist License.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Specialty Pharmacy Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Specialty Medications And Disease States.

  • Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role, With The Ability To Manage And Develop A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians And Pharmacists.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Patients, Providers, And Insurance Companies.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance, Including Hipaa And Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Standards.
