  1. Lead and oversee the development and implementation of clinical programs related to biochemical genetics to improve healthcare outcomes for Cigna members.
  2. Utilize deep understanding of clinical biochemical genetics to provide clinical guidance and support to healthcare providers and other team members.
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert for biochemical genetics, staying up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices and protocols for the diagnosis and management of biochemical genetic conditions.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Medical Director - Clinical Biochemical Genetics At Cigna Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Should Be Board Certified In Clinical Biochemical Genetics By The American Board Of Medical Genetics (Abmg) Or The American Board Of Pediatrics (Abp).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Practice Is Required, With A Focus On Clinical Biochemical Genetics. Previous Experience As A Medical Director Or In A Leadership Role Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Managed Care: Strong Understanding Of Managed Care Principles And Experience Working Within A Managed Care Organization Is Essential.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With A Wide Range Of Stakeholders, Including Patients, Providers, And Internal Teams, Is Crucial For Success In This Role. Strong Leadership And Team-Building Skills Are Also Necessary.
