  1. Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals and other healthcare providers to negotiate contracts that align with Cigna's goals and objectives.
  2. Analyze market data and industry trends to identify and evaluate potential contracting opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for successful contract negotiations.
  4. Conduct thorough evaluations of contract proposals, including pricing, quality of care, and network adequacy.
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies during contract negotiations and management.
  6. Monitor and track contract performance to ensure that negotiated terms and rates are being met.
  7. Serve as a subject matter expert on hospital contracting and provider reimbursement, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
  8. Lead a team of contract negotiators and provide coaching and development opportunities to ensure high-quality work and employee engagement.
  9. Communicate effectively with Cigna's customers and external partners to build and maintain positive relationships.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in hospital contracting and reimbursement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Hospital Contracting, With A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Industry Trends And Regulations.

  • Excellent Negotiation Skills And Proven Track Record Of Successfully Negotiating And Managing Contracts With Hospitals And Healthcare Providers.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Abilities, With Experience In Managing A Team And Building Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Financial Principles And Experience With Budgeting And Financial Analysis In A Healthcare Setting.
