  1. Conduct telephonic counseling sessions with Cigna members to address their mental health concerns and provide support and guidance.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on members' needs and goals.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of counseling sessions, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as physicians and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for members.
  5. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  6. Stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based treatments in the field of counseling.
  7. Provide guidance and support to members in crisis or experiencing acute mental health episodes.
  8. Utilize telehealth technology to deliver high-quality counseling services to members.
  9. Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with members to foster a positive therapeutic environment.
  10. Participate in regular supervision and ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Communicate effectively with members, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Meet productivity requirements and maintain timely documentation of services.
  13. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and understanding towards members' mental health struggles.
  14. Serve as an advocate for members and promote mental health awareness and destigmatization.
  15. Attend team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services.

Job Qualifications
  • A Valid State License In Counseling Or A Related Field: A Licensed Telephonic Counselor At Cigna Should Hold A Valid State License In Counseling Or A Related Field, Such As Social Work Or Psychology. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Provide Counseling Services.

  • Experience In Telephonic Counseling: Cigna May Prefer Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Providing Counseling Services Over The Phone. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Build Rapport With Clients Remotely.

The Ability To Actively Listen, Empathize, And Communicate Clearly Is Essential.
