  1. Develop and implement government affairs strategies that align with Cigna's values and priorities.
  2. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, and local levels that may impact the healthcare industry.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key government officials and agencies to advocate for favorable policies and regulations.
  4. Represent Cigna in meetings, hearings, and other interactions with government stakeholders to effectively communicate the company's positions and priorities.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and business leaders, to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to government affairs.
  6. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to inform government affairs strategies and initiatives.
  7. Develop and execute grassroots advocacy campaigns to engage employees, customers, and community partners in advocating for policy changes.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and other materials to educate internal and external stakeholders about key healthcare policy issues.
  9. Monitor and report on the impact of government affairs efforts on Cigna's business objectives and performance.
  10. Stay current on industry best practices and proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance Cigna's government affairs function.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Advanced Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Government Affairs, Lobbying, Or Public Policy With A Focus On Healthcare Or Insurance Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Legislative And Regulatory Processes And Experience Advocating On Behalf Of A Large Organization.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Influence Government Officials And Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Manage A Team And Navigate Complex Political Environments.
