  1. Manage and maintain F5 load balancing technology for Cigna's network, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  2. Develop and implement load balancing strategies to improve network efficiency and support business objectives.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to F5 load balancing, working closely with other IT teams as needed.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to F5 load balancing and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  5. Lead and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement load balancing solutions for new projects.
  7. Monitor and analyze network traffic and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of F5 load balancing equipment and services.
  9. Create and maintain documentation for F5 load balancing configurations, processes, and procedures.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any urgent F5 load balancing issues outside of regular business hours.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on F5 load balancing technology, providing guidance and support to other IT teams and business units.
  12. Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols in all F5 load balancing activities.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and streamline F5 load balancing processes and procedures.
  14. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on F5 load balancing initiatives and projects.
  15. Represent Cigna as a top-tier F5 load balancing professional, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With F5 Load Balancer: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working With F5 Load Balancer In A Large-Scale Enterprise Environment. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of F5’S Product Suite, Including Ltm, Gtm, Asm, And Apm.

  • Knowledge Of Network Security: A Senior Advisor Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Network Security And How It Relates To Load Balancing. They Should Have Experience Implementing And Managing Ssl Offloading, Waf, And Ddos Protection On F5 Load Balancers.

  • Experience With Cloud Technologies: As Cigna Continues To Expand Its Cloud Footprint, The Senior Advisor Should Have Experience Working With F5 In A Cloud Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Aws, Azure, And Other Cloud Platforms.

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Load Balancers Are Critical Components Of A Network, And Any Issues Can Have A Significant Impact On Business Operations. The Senior Advisor Should Have Excellent Troubleshooting Skills To Identify And Resolve Issues Quickly.

  • Leadership & Communication Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Experience Leading And Mentoring Junior Team Members. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Collaborate With Other Teams And Present Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
