- Lead and oversee the pharmacy department at Cigna, providing strategic direction and vision for the future of pharmacy services within the company.
- Drive innovation and stay ahead of industry trends and changes in the healthcare landscape to continuously improve pharmacy services and offerings.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for managing pharmacy costs while maintaining high-quality care for customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pharmacy services into other areas of the business, such as population health and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the delivery of pharmacy services.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to provide exceptional customer service and support to Cigna customers.
- Develop and manage the pharmacy budget, making strategic investments to support the growth and success of the department.
- Stay current on developments in the pharmaceutical industry, including new medications, treatment options, and technologies, and incorporate them into the organization's pharmacy strategy.
- Represent Cigna and the pharmacy department at industry conferences, events, and meetings.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the pharmacy department.
- Use effective communication skills to engage and motivate team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including network pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality in pharmacy services.
Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution.
At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Or Pharmaceutical Organization.
Extensive Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Safety, Formulary Management, And Clinical Pharmacy Programs.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance, Such As Hipaa And Medicare Part D.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Strategic Initiatives To Improve Pharmacy Services And Drive Business Growth.
