In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and improve supplier performance.   1. Develop and implement effective category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  2. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for various categories.
  4. Monitor and assess supplier performance and proactively address any issues or concerns.
  5. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within assigned categories.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  8. Analyze data and provide regular reports on category performance and savings achieved.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to inform category strategies.
  10. Participate in contract negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers.
  11. Train and mentor team members on category management best practices.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  13. Collaborate with other category management and sourcing specialists to share best practices and drive consistency across the organization.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on assigned categories and provide guidance and support to other teams as needed.
  15. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Category Management And Strategic Sourcing Within The Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Experience In Conducting Market Research And Data Analysis To Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities.

  • Knowledge Of Procurement Best Practices And Experience In Developing And Managing Supplier Relationships.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Senior Leadership To Drive Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.
