
AML Investigations & Reporting Officer
Using client information and publicly available research, confirm whether escalated alerts are true matches and determine the potential risks associated with individuals who are PEPs or close associaties of PEPs. Work with the first line of defense in ensuring that individuals adjudicating these alerts in the line of business have the appropriate knowledge and training to making informed decisions. Act as a back up for the second line of defense approval of Currency Transaction Reports and Monetary Instrument Logs. Review transaction monitoring alerts for signs of potential money laundering or terrorist financing. Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and follow appropriate review, documentation and follow-up steps as outlined in Bank’s BSA/AML Program. Maintain confidentiality of reports and documentation as required by law. Provide prompt escalation of BSA findings to appropriate management.
Minimum 1-3 years of investigative or related experience with emphasis on BSA/AML
Experience with evaluating client transactional activities to identify various AML typologies
Knowledge of applicable regulations and industry knowledge of emerging risks
Prior experience working with clients onboarded and maintained primarily through digital channels
