As the Senior Director of Philanthropy for our Foundation, you will lead a team dedicated to securing resources and funding to support our mission of advancing pediatric healthcare.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission of CHOC Children's Hospital and its Foundation.
  2. Lead and manage a team of philanthropy professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship in their fundraising efforts.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners to secure funding for the hospital.
  4. Work closely with hospital leadership and program directors to identify funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support.
  5. Oversee all fundraising activities, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and special events.
  6. Ensure that all fundraising efforts comply with ethical and legal standards, as well as the hospital's policies and procedures.
  7. Monitor and analyze fundraising data to measure progress towards goals and make strategic adjustments as needed.
  8. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and implement effective messaging and materials for fundraising campaigns.
  9. Represent CHOC Children's Hospital and its Foundation in the community, serving as an ambassador and advocate for the organization.
  10. Stay current on trends and best practices in philanthropy and fundraising, continuously seeking new and innovative ways to engage donors and raise funds.
  11. Provide regular updates and reports to hospital leadership and the Foundation Board of Directors on fundraising progress and initiatives.
  12. Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization, working to educate and engage staff, volunteers, and board members in fundraising efforts.
  13. Act as a liaison between donors and the hospital, ensuring that their contributions are recognized and stewarded appropriately.
  14. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to support fundraising efforts and promote a cohesive approach to philanthropy.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of CHOC Children's Hospital and its Foundation in all fundraising activities.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Philanthropy And Foundation Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Proven Track Record In Successfully Managing A Team Of Fundraising Professionals.

  • Comprehensive Understanding Of Fundraising Principles, Techniques, And Strategies, With A Demonstrated Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Fundraising Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Cultivate Relationships With High-Level Donors, Board Members, And Community Leaders.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of The Philanthropic Landscape And Trends, With The Ability To Identify And Leverage Opportunities For Fundraising Growth And Impact.
