We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mental Health Inpatient Center team.As an RN at our Mental Health Inpatient Center, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health disorders. Your passion for helping others and your expertise in mental health nursing will be essential in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.We are looking for an individual who is a team player, has excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. A valid RN license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting are required for this position.If you are looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career in pediatric mental health nursing, we would love to have you join our team at CHOC Children's Hospital.

  1. Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Mental Health Inpatient Center.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Administer and monitor medications as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status.
  5. Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment.
  6. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by following all safety and infection control procedures.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any changes in patients' conditions.
  9. Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, treatment plans, and medication management.
  10. Assist in discharge planning and coordination of follow-up care.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  14. Serve as a role model for compassionate and patient-centered care.
  15. Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of pediatric mental health nursing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Mental Health Inpatient Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Mental Health Disorders, Treatment Modalities, And Patient Care Plans.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Families, And Multidisciplinary Teams.
