  1. Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to CHOC Children's Hospital with warmth and compassion.
  2. Provide exceptional patient care in the Pre-Op/PACU department, utilizing evidence-based practices and following hospital policies and procedures.
  3. Assess patient needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and post-operative care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, medication administration, and other pertinent information.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or questions.
  8. Adhere to infection control measures and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  9. Respond to emergencies and provide timely and appropriate interventions.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the achievement of departmental and hospital goals.
  11. Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in pediatric nursing.
  12. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients.
  14. Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  15. Display a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pre-Operative And Post-Operative Care.

  • Current Certification In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals).

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Care, Including Developmental Stages And Common Medical Conditions.
