Job Description

CHOC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly organized and passionate individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator for our Comprehensive Children's Emergency Receiving Center. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing support and coordination for the medical staff and patients, ensuring the highest level of care for children in emergency situations.   1. Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the Comprehensive Children's Emergency Receiving Center at CHOC Children's Hospital.
  2. Work closely with medical staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care to pediatric patients.
  3. Provide support and assistance to medical staff, including scheduling, record keeping, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  4. Communicate with patients and their families to provide updates on treatment plans and address any concerns or questions.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the hospital to ensure seamless coordination of care for pediatric patients.
  7. Develop and implement processes and protocols to improve the quality of care and streamline operations in the emergency receiving center.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the emergency receiving center, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  9. Stay current on best practices and standards in pediatric emergency care to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the emergency receiving center and other hospital departments, as well as external agencies and organizations.
  11. Train and mentor new staff members to ensure they are knowledgeable and proficient in their roles.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the emergency receiving center, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
  13. Participate in hospital committees and meetings to provide input and contribute to the overall success of the emergency receiving center.
  14. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CHOC Children's Hospital in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Children And Families In Crisis.

  • Knowledge Of Child Welfare Systems, Including Child Protective Services And Foster Care.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information.
