We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Post-Doctoral Fellow in Psychology to join our dynamic team.As a Post-Doctoral Fellow at CHOC, you will have the opportunity to work alongside renowned psychologists and researchers in a collaborative and supportive environment.   1. Conduct research studies and assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation in the field of pediatric psychology.
  2. Collaborate with other team members, including psychologists and researchers, to develop and implement research projects.
  3. Administer and score psychological assessments and evaluations for patients.
  4. Develop treatment plans and provide evidence-based interventions for children and families.
  5. Attend and participate in seminars, conferences, and other educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in pediatric psychology.
  6. Assist in the supervision and training of doctoral students and other staff members.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and research data.
  8. Keep up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of pediatric psychology.
  9. Communicate with patients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner.
  10. Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work.
  11. Contribute to the development and dissemination of research findings through presentations and publications.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall growth and success of the department.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  16. Serve as a positive role model for colleagues and patients.
  17. Assist in grant writing and other fundraising efforts to support research projects.
  18. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  19. Provide support and guidance to patients and families, including crisis intervention when necessary.
  20. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • A Doctoral Degree In Psychology From An Accredited University: This Qualification Ensures That The Post-Doctoral Fellow Has A Strong Foundation In Psychological Theory And Research, As Well As The Necessary Training To Conduct Clinical Work With Children And Families.

  • Experience Working With Children And Families: Choc Children's Hospital Specializes In Pediatric Care, So It Is Important For The Post-Doctoral Fellow To Have Experience Working With Children And Their Families. This Could Include Clinical Practicum Or Internship Experience, As Well As Research Experience With Child Populations.

  • Strong Research Skills: Post-Doctoral Fellows At Choc Children's Hospital Are Expected To Contribute To Ongoing Research Projects And May Have The Opportunity To Develop Their Own Research Studies. Therefore, Strong Research Skills, Including Experience With Data Collection And Analysis, Are Essential For This Position.

  • Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure In California: While A Post-Doctoral Fellow May Not Be Licensed, They Should Be Eligible For Licensure In The State Of California. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Requirements For Clinical Practice And Is Committed To Ethical And Professional Standards.
