Perioperative Services Support Technician

1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors by warmly greeting and welcoming them to the hospital.
2. Assist with daily operations of perioperative services by preparing and maintaining surgical equipment and supplies.
3. Transport patients to and from the operating room and assist with positioning and prepping for surgery.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and properly disposing of medical waste.
5. Collaborate with perioperative team members to ensure efficient and timely patient flow and support during surgical procedures.
6. Communicate effectively with team members and other hospital staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
8. Assist with patient care activities, such as taking vital signs and monitoring patients before and after surgery.
9. Provide emotional support to patients and families during the perioperative process, including addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to perioperative services.
11. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
12. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
13. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient and family experience.
14. Collaborate with other hospital departments and outside organizations as needed to ensure the smooth operation of perioperative services.
