Job Description

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments of children and adolescents to identify mental health concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to children and families to address a variety of mental health issues.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop and implement an integrated treatment plan for each patient.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  5. Educate and support families on how to manage their child's mental health needs and provide resources and referrals as necessary.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of pediatric psychology to continually improve patient care.
  8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and case discussions.
  9. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, regarding patient care and documentation.
  11. Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the mental health and well-being of children and families.
  12. Actively participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the department and across the hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Psychology: A Candidate For A Pediatric Psychologist Position At Choc Children's Hospital Should Have A Doctoral Degree In Psychology, With A Specialization In Child Psychology Or Pediatric Psychology.

  • State License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid License To Practice Psychology In The State Where Choc Children's Hospital Is Located. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Required Standards And Can Legally Practice As A Psychologist.
