- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist or laboratory supervisor.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functionality and inventory levels.
- Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of laboratory results.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory results and patient information.
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols to maintain the highest level of accuracy and precision in laboratory testing.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience during laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory tests, results, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards, in the performance of job duties.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management.
Bachelor's Degree In A Science-Related Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.
Prior Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment, As Well As Safety Protocols.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Record And Analyze Data.
