Job Description

The Director, Severe Behavior Program will apply leadership and clinical experience to work with children with challenging behaviors at the Autism Center. The Director will establish program’s treatment philosophy, designing and operationalizing specific treatment programming, and training and managing program staff associated with the challenging behavior program. The individual will also be part of the multi-disciplinary team leadership team and provide direction in the further development of the escalating behaviors program. The director will be developing and implementing training programs for general staff within the center, as well as community partners and providers. There will also be opportunities for engaging in research, either through Quality Improvement Projects or through the introduction of innovative treatment approaches, programmatic features, and/or outcomes measures.

Job Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working with children with development disabilities, severe behaviors and exposure to individuals with Autism

  • Prefers experience developing or designing interventions for children with challenging behaviors and collection of systematic data
