- Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within CHOC Children's Hospital, with a specific focus on health equity for our diverse patient population.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address disparities and promote equity in healthcare delivery.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of current policies, procedures, and programs to ensure they align with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Work closely with our patient and family advisory councils to gather feedback and incorporate diverse perspectives into decision-making processes.
- Build partnerships and maintain relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups to promote health equity and address social determinants of health.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for staff and healthcare providers on cultural competency, implicit bias, and other relevant topics.
- Serve as a resource and provide guidance to all staff on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in health equity and diversity and share this knowledge with the organization.
- Monitor and analyze data related to health equity and diversity to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and community partners, to promote a culture of inclusivity and equity.
- Represent CHOC Children's Hospital at conferences, events, and other forums to share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Collaborate with our marketing and communications team to promote our efforts and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Participate in relevant committees and workgroups to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Continuously review and update our diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with our mission and values.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Public Health, Health Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Related To Health Equity, Diversity, And Inclusion In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Current Health Equity Research And Best Practices, As Well As Experience Implementing And Evaluating Health Equity Initiatives.
Demonstrated Understanding And Commitment To Promoting Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In Healthcare, Including Addressing Social Determinants Of Health.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Health Equity Concepts To Diverse Audiences.
