Associate Counsel
The Associate Counsel promotes and protects the interests, mission, and vision of CHOC by providing sound and confidential legal counsel to the organization and its leaders primarily on contracting matters. This position focuses on contract preparation, drafting, review and negotiation through the organization’s contract management system. Other areas of responsibility include legal research, legal analysis, oversight of outside counsel, advising on patient care and risk management issues and assisting on special projects. This position reports to the Associate General Counsel of CHOC Law Department.
Minimum two (2) years of related experience in a law firm or in-house setting as an attorney.
Proven ability to effectively prepare, draft, review, and negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
Previous experience in health care and/or privacy, security, and technology advising a plus
Five (5) years of related experience in a law firm or in-house setting as an attorney a plus
