As our R&D Chef, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing new menu items, sourcing high-quality ingredients, and staying on top of current food trends.   1. Develop and test new menu items that align with the company's brand and food philosophy.
  2. Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu development.
  3. Source high-quality ingredients and build relationships with suppliers to ensure the best ingredients for our dishes.
  4. Work closely with the culinary team to maintain consistency and quality in all menu items.
  5. Conduct research and experiments to improve existing recipes and create new ones.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and operations to ensure new menu items are feasible and meet business goals.
  7. Create and maintain detailed documentation of recipes, ingredient lists, and cooking procedures.
  8. Train and educate kitchen staff on new menu items and cooking techniques.
  9. Conduct market analysis and gather feedback from customers to inform menu development.
  10. Monitor food costs and make recommendations for cost-effective ingredient substitutions.
  11. Stay updated on food safety and sanitation regulations and ensure all recipe testing and development is in compliance.
  12. Attend food shows and conferences to stay informed about industry developments and gather inspiration for new menu ideas.

  • Culinary Expertise And Creativity: A Research And Development Chef At Chipotle Mexican Grill Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Culinary Techniques, Flavor Profiles, And Ingredients To Develop New And Innovative Menu Items.

  • Experience In Menu Development: This Role Requires A Strong Track Record Of Successfully Creating And Launching New Menu Items In A Fast-Paced Environment, Preferably In The Restaurant Industry.
