- Conduct thorough research on current food trends and incorporate them into menu development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure successful execution of new menu items.
- Create and maintain detailed recipe documentation and standards for all new menu items.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing menu items to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and competitor offerings to inform menu development strategies.
- Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality ingredients for menu items.
- Conduct tastings and presentations to gather feedback from internal teams and make necessary adjustments to menu items.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper preparation and execution of new menu items.
- Participate in culinary events and promotions to showcase Chipotle's innovative menu offerings.
- Conduct cost and profit analysis to ensure menu items are financially viable.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on menu development and seek input and approval on new items.
- Represent Chipotle as a culinary expert in external events and media appearances.
- Continuously seek new and creative ways to enhance the overall dining experience for Chipotle customers.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Culinary Arts Or Food Science.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Restaurant Industry.
Extensive Knowledge Of Mexican Cuisine And Experience With Developing New Recipes And Menu Items.
Strong Understanding Of Food Trends, Ingredient Sourcing, And Menu Design.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
