  1. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes, flavors, and cooking techniques that align with our brand and commitment to fresh, sustainable, and flavorful ingredients.
  2. Conduct extensive research on culinary trends, ingredients, and techniques to stay ahead of industry developments and ensure our menu offerings are innovative and on-trend.
  3. Utilize your strong background in culinary arts to create unique and delicious dishes that represent the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine.
  4. Engage in product testing, quality control, and recipe refinement to ensure all menu items meet our high standards of taste and quality.
  5. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source the best and freshest ingredients for our menu offerings.
  6. Act as a brand ambassador, representing Chipotle's commitment to real food and sustainability in all recipe development and menu innovation.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and supply chain, to ensure smooth and successful implementation of new menu offerings.
  8. Stay up-to-date on food safety and sanitation regulations, and ensure all recipes and cooking techniques follow health and safety standards.
  9. Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and idea sharing among team members.
  10. Participate in menu planning meetings and provide valuable insights and suggestions to continually improve and elevate our menu offerings.
  11. Continuously assess and evaluate customer feedback and data to make data-driven decisions in menu development and innovation.
  12. Maintain a strong understanding of our company values and mission and ensure that all menu offerings align with them.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Education And Experience: A Research And Development Chef At Chipotle Mexican Grill Should Have A Degree In Culinary Arts Or A Related Field, As Well As Significant Experience Working In A Professional Kitchen.

  • Knowledge Of Mexican Cuisine: As Chipotle Is A Mexican-Inspired Restaurant, A Research And Development Chef Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Traditional Mexican Cuisine, Including Ingredients, Cooking Techniques, And Flavor Profiles.

  • Creativity And Innovation: This Role Requires A Strong Creative Streak, As The Research And Development Chef Will Be Responsible For Developing New Menu Items And Improving Existing Dishes. This Requires The Ability To Think Outside The Box And Come Up With Unique And Delicious Ideas.

  • Project Management Skills: Research And Development Chefs At Chipotle Are Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Projects At Once, From Concept Development To Menu Testing And Implementation.
