  1. Conduct culinary research and development to create new and innovative menu items that align with Chipotle's vision and standards.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new menu items and recipes.
  3. Source high-quality and sustainable ingredients for new menu items.
  4. Stay updated on food industry trends and incorporate them into menu development.
  5. Conduct taste tests and provide feedback on menu items to ensure they meet Chipotle's standards for flavor and quality.
  6. Train and mentor other team members on culinary techniques and best practices.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all menu development and testing.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to source and evaluate new ingredients and products.
  9. Ensure all menu items meet food safety and health regulations.
  10. Act as a brand ambassador for Chipotle and represent the company's values and mission.

  • Culinary Expertise And Experience: A Research And Development Chef At Chipotle Mexican Grill Should Have A Strong Culinary Background With Experience In Developing And Creating Innovative Menu Items. They Should Be Knowledgeable About Different Cooking Techniques, Flavor Profiles, And Ingredient Combinations.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As Part Of The R&D Team, The Chef Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Ideas And Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members, Including Chefs, Food Scientists, And Marketing Professionals. This Requires Excellent Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
