Job Description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Vascular Access Clinical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. Our ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of evidence-based practice. The successful candidate must be a team player, committed to providing exemplary care to children, and be willing to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.The successful Vascular Access Clinical Nurse will have a minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience, with at least one year of experience in vascular access. The ideal candidate must be certified in vascular access and have a thorough knowledge of the principles of and procedures related to vascular access. The successful candidate must be able to assess patient and family needs, provide education, and demonstrate clinical leadership. In addition, the candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with patients and families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exemplary care to children in a compassionate and highly motivated manner.
  2. Develop and implement evidence-based practice to ensure best patient outcomes.
  3. Utilize strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills to provide assessments and education for patients and families.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients and families.
  5. Demonstrate clinical leadership and offer guidance to other members of the healthcare team.
  6. Maintain certification in vascular access and have a thorough understanding of the principles and procedures related to vascular access.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
