  1. Utilize extensive knowledge of healthcare billing processes to accurately and efficiently bill patients and their families for services received.
  2. Review patient records and documentation to ensure all charges and services are accurately reflected in the billing system.
  3. Communicate with insurance companies and third-party payers to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
  4. Collaborate with other departments within the hospital to ensure all necessary information is obtained for accurate and timely billing.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any billing questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  7. Maintain organized and detailed records of all billing activities, including payments, denials, and adjustments.
  8. Participate in team meetings and trainings to share knowledge and best practices related to patient financial services billing.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the billing process.
  10. Work closely with the finance department to reconcile billing activities and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards, in all billing activities.
  12. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the hospital's mission and values, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and service excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Patient Financial Services Billing, Preferably In A Pediatric Hospital Setting.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Billing Systems And Knowledge Of Billing Guidelines And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work With Patients, Families, And Insurance Companies.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Billing Discrepancies And Denials.
