- Oversee all electrical systems and installations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues in a timely manner to ensure the safety and functionality of the hospital.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to identify and address any potential problems.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to coordinate electrical work and minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Train and mentor junior electricians on proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Keep detailed records of all electrical work and maintenance performed.
- Continuously improve and update knowledge of electrical systems and technologies to stay current with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, contractors, and vendors to coordinate and schedule electrical work.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide support as needed to maintain the safety and functionality of the hospital.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including safety protocols and dress code.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Attend departmental meetings and provide input and suggestions for improvement.
- Act as a role model for safety, professionalism, and excellence in all aspects of the job.
- Uphold the mission and values of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in all interactions and tasks.
Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Technical Drawings.
Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience As A Licensed Electrician, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of National Electric Code (Nec) And Joint Commission Standards.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Staff, Patients, And Families In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
