Job Description

The Senior Communications Associate position at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a uniquely rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families. We are looking for a highly motivated, seasoned professional who has a background in communications, public relations, and/or marketing to help create and manage the communication and public relations efforts of CHOP.To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing, a minimum of five years of relevant experience, and an exemplary track record in developing and executing successful communications plans. You must also be a creative and strategic thinker, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.If you are inspired by the thought of joining our mission to provide excellent care to children and families, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute successful communications plans to advance the mission of CHOP.
  2. Identify opportunities to promote CHOP's public relations efforts in order to increase visibility and awareness.
  3. Write press releases, articles, blog posts, and other communications materials.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Coordinate and manage events, meetings, and other activities related to communications and public relations activities.
  6. Monitor and analyze media coverage of CHOP.
  7. Utilize social media to promote CHOP and its activities.
  8. Provide timely and accurate reports on communications activities.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure messaging is consistent across all platforms.
  10. Manage all aspects of the communications budget.
