Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Communications Associate to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This is a critical role, and you’ll be responsible for developing and executing compelling strategies to enhance CHOP’s external communications efforts. You should have a proven track record of developing successful communications plans that are creative and effective, with a focus on digital media and traditional media relations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of the healthcare sector and have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance CHOP’s external communications efforts.
  2. Create and implement creative and effective communications plans with a focus on digital media and traditional media relations.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the healthcare sector.
  4. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Manage and monitor communications activities and media relations.
  6. Represent CHOP at external events and media opportunities.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the media, physicians, and families.
  8. Monitor industry news and trends and assess the potential impact on CHOP’s external communications.
  9. Track metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts.
  10. Oversee the development of content, including press releases, website copy, and other marketing materials.
