- Provide exceptional care to young patients in accordance with the mission and values of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Serve as a vital member of the Occupational Health Department, working to promote the health and well-being of employees.
- Ensure the safety and health of employees by implementing and enforcing occupational health practices and regulations.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments for employees, identifying any potential health risks and providing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health and wellness programs for employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with employees, providing education and resources to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Respond to and manage workplace injuries and illnesses, providing immediate care and facilitating follow-up treatment as needed.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current occupational health practices and regulations, continuously improving the department's protocols and procedures.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address any issues or concerns related to employee health and safety.
- Serve as a role model for other healthcare professionals and support staff, demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and dedication to the well-being of children.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other departments, promoting a team-oriented approach to patient care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings, staying informed about any changes or updates in occupational health practices and regulations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Act as an advocate for children and their families, always striving to provide the best possible care and support.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Which Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For Rns At Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia.
Valid Rn License In The State Of Pennsylvania: As A Healthcare Facility, Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia Requires All Rns To Have A Valid License To Practice Nursing In The State Of Pennsylvania.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Occupational Health: This Position Requires A Candidate With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Occupational Health, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.
Knowledge Of Osha Regulations And Guidelines: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Osha Regulations And Guidelines Pertaining To Occupational Health In Order To Ensure Compliance And Provide Safe Working Conditions For Employees.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Rn In The Occupational Health Department, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Employees, Healthcare Providers, And Other Stakeholders To Promote Health And Safety In The Workplace.
