As a Research Technician II, you will play a critical role in conducting and supporting groundbreaking research that will advance pediatric healthcare.   1. Conduct laboratory experiments: Perform a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures as directed by the research team, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  2. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and keep an updated inventory of supplies to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Collect and analyze data: Accurately collect, record, and analyze data from experiments and studies, and assist in interpreting and reporting results.
  4. Collaborate with research team: Work closely with the research team to develop study protocols, troubleshoot issues, and share findings and progress.
  5. Stay up-to-date on research techniques and protocols: Keep up-to-date with the latest research techniques and protocols, and apply them in experiments and studies.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  7. Assist in writing reports and publications: Contribute to the writing and editing of reports, publications, and presentations for scientific conferences and journals.
  8. Support grant applications: Assist in the preparation of grant applications by providing necessary data and information.
  9. Train new team members: Train new team members on laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
  10. Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed and accurate records of experiments, data, and procedures in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
  11. Contribute to team meetings: Participate in team meetings, provide updates on progress, and offer suggestions for improvement and optimization of processes.
  12. Maintain confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of all research data and findings in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.
  13. Contribute to the mission of the organization: Actively contribute to the mission of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by conducting research that will improve the health and well-being of children worldwide.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Neuroscience

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Conducting Laboratory Research, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Setting

  • Proficiency In Various Laboratory Techniques, Including Dna/Rna Extraction, Pcr, And Tissue Culture

  • Knowledge Of Research Protocols And Regulations, Including Irb And Iacuc Procedures

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
