
Research Tech - Statistical Genetics
At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Research Technician to join our Statistical Genetics team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for research and a commitment to helping us advance medical knowledge through the application of statistical genetics principles. The Research Technician - Statistical Genetics will be responsible for providing technical support for a variety of research projects and initiatives related to the study of the genetic basis of disease. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working independently and is eager to take on new challenges.To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in statistics, genetics, and biological sciences, as well as a solid understanding of the principles of genetics and their application to the study of diseases. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for research projects and initiatives related to the study of the genetic basis of disease.
- Maintain and update research databases and analyze data to identify trends and correlations.
- Collaborate with other members of the Statistical Genetics team, including physicians, scientists, and researchers.
- Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and analyze results.
- Prepare reports and presentations on research findings.
- Assist in the development of new protocols and procedures related to statistical genetics research.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of statistical genetics.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all research activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Statistics
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Applications
Genetics Or Related Field
At Least One Year Of Experience In Statistical Genetics Research
Experience With Statistical Software Such As R
