Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and curious individual with a passion for skeletal biology research? Do you have a strong background in molecular biology and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a dedicated Research Post-Doc Fellow to join our team in the Skeletal Dysplasia Center. As a leading pediatric hospital, CHOP is committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of skeletal disorders.   1. Conduct independent research in the field of skeletal biology, with a focus on pediatric skeletal disorders.
  2. Design and perform experiments using techniques in molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology to investigate the underlying mechanisms of skeletal disorders.
  3. Analyze and interpret research data, and present findings in scientific conferences and publications.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the research team to develop and implement research projects.
  5. Utilize cutting-edge technology and techniques to advance the understanding of skeletal biology and potential treatments for skeletal disorders.
  6. Participate in grant and manuscript writing, as well as other administrative duties related to the research projects.
  7. Stay updated on current literature and advancements in the field of skeletal biology and pediatric skeletal disorders.
  8. Mentor and train junior members of the research team, including graduate and undergraduate students.
  9. Communicate research progress and results to colleagues, supervisors, and collaborators.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards in conducting research.
  11. Represent the Skeletal Dysplasia Center and CHOP in professional and academic settings.
  12. Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to translate research findings into clinical applications for the benefit of patients with skeletal disorders.
  13. Contribute to the overall mission of CHOP to improve the lives of children and families through groundbreaking research and compassionate care.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of research data, protocols, and procedures in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to the growth and success of the Skeletal Dysplasia Center and CHOP.

  • Phd In Skeletal Biology Or A Related Field

  • Strong Background In Conducting Independent Research, Including Design, Execution, And Analysis Of Experiments
