- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to mothers and infants in the labor and delivery unit.
- Utilize clinical expertise to assess and monitor patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant care.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs and progress.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide prompt and appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide exceptional care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during the labor and delivery process.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare.
- Collaborate with community organizations and resources to support maternal and infant health initiatives.
- Attend departmental and hospital meetings as required.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Of Pennsylvania.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.
Bls, Acls, And Nrp Certifications.
