Job Description

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. Our Labor and Delivery unit provides care for families from the prenatal stage through delivery and postpartum. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing the highest quality of care with warmth, compassion, and understanding.The ideal candidate will bring both clinical expertise and empathy to our team. To be successful in this role, you should have a valid nursing license, several years of relevant experience, and a strong sense of patient advocacy. You should also have excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive care for patients and families during prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs • Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medication, and respond to emergency situations • Educate patients and families on labor and delivery care, safety, and risk reduction • Collaborate with fellow nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure best practices are followed • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations • Respond to inquiries from patients and families in a timely manner • Maintain accurate records of patient care plans and treatments • Remain current on evidence-based practices and new healthcare developments

Job Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania Rn License

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Nrp (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

  • Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Nursing
