- Provide compassionate and evidence-based care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly assess and prioritize patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, such as emergencies or difficult patient cases.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Educate patients and families on their medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Continuously update and maintain knowledge of emergency nursing practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process improvement.
- Advocate for patients' rights and needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Attend trainings and conferences to further develop skills and knowledge in pediatric emergency nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Pennsylvania
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Emergency Department Or Pediatric Setting
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications
Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Emergency Care Protocols And Best Practices
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment While Maintaining Composure And Providing Excellent Patient Care.
