1. Provide compassionate and evidence-based care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
2. Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly assess and prioritize patient needs.
3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
4. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, such as emergencies or difficult patient cases.
5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
6. Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
7. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
8. Educate patients and families on their medical conditions and treatment plans.
9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
10. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
11. Continuously update and maintain knowledge of emergency nursing practices.
12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for process improvement.
13. Advocate for patients' rights and needs.
14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
15. Attend trainings and conferences to further develop skills and knowledge in pediatric emergency nursing.
